Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and Space Studios ("Space Studios", "we", "us") covering your use of the Space Studios web application and everything in it — story development, reference libraries, image, video and voice generation, editing and export. By creating an account or using the product you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the product.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the studio. You must give a working email address, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for everything done through your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (at least 16, or 18 where local law requires it). Tell us immediately if you believe someone else is using your account.

You can stop using the product at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules below.

3. Credits

Generation work is metered in credits. Every image, video clip, voice track and analysis pass consumes credits at the rate shown before you confirm the action, and your balance is shown in the app. Paid billing is not live yet: credits are currently issued to accounts by us (for example the starter grant on signup), they cannot be purchased, and because nothing has been paid for them there are no refunds and no cash value. Credits are not money, not property, and not transferable between accounts.

If a render fails to start, or every model attempt for a render fails, the credits charged for that attempt are returned to your balance automatically. Credits spent on a render that completed are used, even if you are unhappy with the creative result — model output is inherently variable. When paid plans launch we will publish pricing and refund terms and give you notice before anything is charged.

4. Your content and AI-generated output

What you bring stays yours. Scripts, notes, reference photos, product images, character sheets and any other material you upload remain yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store your material, display it back to you, and transmit it to the AI model providers that carry out the generation you request.

Output. As between you and us, you own the images, video, audio and text the studio generates for you, and you may use them commercially. Two honest limits apply. First, AI output is generated from models we licence from third parties, and their terms also apply to the output — we pass through the rights we have, we cannot grant more than that. Second, in many countries purely machine-generated work may not attract copyright protection at all, so we cannot promise the output is exclusively yours or protectable.

Similar results. Other users may prompt similar things and receive similar output. You get no exclusivity over a style, a preset, or a result.

You are responsible for what you upload and publish. You confirm you have the rights to every reference image, likeness, logo, product photo and piece of text you put into the studio, and that using them this way does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, publicity or privacy rights.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Space Studios to create, upload or distribute:

• sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content of a real person without their consent;
• deceptive depictions of real people — synthetic likeness, voice clones or "deepfakes" used to mislead, defame, harass, impersonate or manipulate an election;
• content that incites violence or hatred against people on the basis of who they are;
• material that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights, including reproducing a real brand's logo or packaging in advertising you do not have permission to make;
• instructions for serious physical harm, weapons or malware;
• fraud, spam, scams or misleading medical, legal or financial claims.

Also do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, evade credit metering or rate limits, scrape other users' data, or resell raw model access. The underlying AI providers apply their own safety filters, so some requests will be refused regardless of these terms.

6. Service availability and changes

The product is under active development. Features can change, move or be withdrawn, and model versions change as providers update them, which can change how your prompts behave. We aim for reliable uptime but do not promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — export finished work rather than treating the studio as your only archive.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The service and its output are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of generated content, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost creative work, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months (currently zero, as billing is not live) or 100 USD.

8. Termination

You may delete your content or ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination your licence to use the service ends; content stored in your account may be deleted after a reasonable period.

9. Changes to these terms

We will update this page when the terms change and revise the date at the top. Material changes — especially the introduction of paid billing — will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the product after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Copyright and takedown requests

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Send notices to our designated copyright agent at support+dmca@spacestudios.app — see our Copyright & DMCA policy for what to include and how counter-notices work. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be terminated.
